Two men hurt in Burnley road accident
TWO men were hurt in a car crash near a Burnley roundabout last night.
The accident happened along Accrington Road near the Network 65 business park at 9pm last night.
Paramedics and fire crews were called to the scene after a Fiat and a Toyota were involved in a collision.
The two male casualties were found conscious but had to be removed from the vehicles by stretcher over spinal injury fears.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Two cars were involved in a collision and there were two male casualties.
“Both men were conscious but because of the degree of impact ambulance staff decided that there was potential for neck and back injuries so we put them on long boards as a precaution.”
The men were taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
