A TODDLER was taken to hospital with facial injuries after he was bitten by a husky-type dog on an organised charity walk.

The two-year-old boy, who was asleep in his pram when the dog, believed to be a malamute, struck, was left with a bruised and swollen eye and bleeding face following the attack around 12-10pm on Sunday near Rowley Lake in Burnley.

He had been with his parents, from Liverpool, who were among 150 people taking part in the event.
