Technical issues affecting website

The Burnley Express website has been experiencing major technical issues over the last week.

The biggest issue is random ordering of content which appears to leave the website dated with old stories and latest news and sport hidden from view.

Sally Dahmke, East Lancashire Newspapers digital editor, said: “We are fully aware of the issues and our tech guys are working on a fix to resolve the issue.

“We appreciate everyone taking the time and trouble to email and tweet us their concerns and can appreciate everyone’s frustrations.

“We would ask everyone to bear with us and accept our apologies. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.”
