Roadworks cause traffic chaos

Roadworks in Burnley are causing traffic chaos on one of the main routes into the town.

Trafalgar Street is closed in both directions at the junction of Westway forcing motorists to take an alternative route. The road is expected to be closed for several weeks while gas mains works are carried out. The closure has been causing queues in both directions, particularly at rush hour.
