STUDENTS and staff from Burnley College were delighted to meet the Queen today when she called into the town centre campus as part of her historic tour of the area.

Joined by Prince Philip, she took the time to chat and examine displays before heading on to Turf Moor for lunch.

Crowds lined the way cheering the Queen on her journey.
