A BURNLEY teenager missing for nearly a week has been found safe and well.

Bethany Wallace (14) was found this morning in the Tunstall area of Stoke-on-Trent by police.

The former Hameldon Community College pupil had been missing since Saturday, October 6th, when she left the local authority care centre in nearby Abbey Hulton.

Desperate friends and family in Burnley posted photos around town seeking information for her safe return while Staffordshire Police launched a missing person search.

Bethany, who previously lived in the Cog Lane area of Burnley, went missing once before in February this year.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “Officers found Bethany safe and well at a house in the Tunstall area of Stoke-on-Trent on Friday morning. She is now with officers.”
