Dad of TV death baby is jailed

A DAD who admitted child cruelty after his baby son died when a television set fell on him has been jailed.

Edward Hanratty (41), of Bradford, was sentenced to three years and 10 months at Preston Crown Court today, including 36 months for a fraud carried out on an elderly man in Yorkshire. Ten months of his sentence was for child cruelty. His four-month-old son Kian McMillan died at a house in Scarlet Street Burnley in December 2011.
