Car torched in broad daylight

A CAR was totally destroyed by fire when it was deliberately set alight in Burnley.

The Ford Fiesta, parked at the back of Little People Day Nursery in Piccadilly Road, was torched in broad daylight at 3-15pm today (Sunday).

Crew manager Rick Courtney said: “It appears the car was set alight deliberately. Some of the fire spread to the back of the nursery, which could have made it a lot more serious.”
