Car deliberately set on fire in Burnley

AN uninsured vehicle was deliberately set alight in Burnley last night.

Four firefighters were called to the scene on Hartley Street at 10-20pm, when police, who were driving past, noticed a 2010 Vauxhall Corsa was on fire.

One hose reel and one breathing apparatus was used to put out the flames. It was believed that the car had been parked on the street for a while.

The fire is being treated as deliberate.
