Car crash causes traffic chaos on M65

A CAR crash on the M65 motorway caused long traffic delays this afternoon.

The vehicle lost control on the eastbound carriageway between Junctions 8 and 9 of the motorway at 2-50pm.

A car and a van were involved in the collision near Hapton. Paramedics were called to the scene but no one was seriously injured in the accident.

Police were forced to shut off two of the three eastbound carriageways while debris was cleared up.
