Burnley boy injured in van collision

A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy was rushed to hospital after being struck by a van in Burnley.

The youngster was playing out in Cog Lane at 1-45 pm on Friday when he was hit by a blue Toyota Hiace.

He was taken to Manchester Children’s Hospital with serious head injuries and was still being treated there today, although his injuries are not now considered as severe.
