Kind heart students generous food bank donation
Schoolchildren in Padiham have shown their compassion for people less fortunate than themselves by staging a fantastic harvest collection.
Pupils at Padiham Primary School brought in 373 items of food for the Burnley Food Bank. The items were collected from the school in Burnley Road by staff from Tesco and will help families who may be struggling to make ends meet.
A spokesman for the school said: "The pupils really enjoyed collecting the food items because they know how much this will help people in the community.
"We would like to thank all the parents for their support also."
