Two women who work at a Burnley gym tied the knot in an emotional civil partnership ceremony in front of 65 family and friends.
Personal trainers Emma Leach (41) and Jenny Rogers (31) wore ivory gowns with full skirts for their big day at Eaves Hall, West Bradford.
The couple have been together for nine years after meeting at Crow Wood.
Emma said: “It was emotional and magical. We’d had all this rain but the sun came out for us. We had the perfect day.”
Emma was walked down the aisle by her dad, David Clark, and Jenny was given away by her brother, Michael Rogers.
Jenny’s niece Sophie Rogers and Laurie-Jean Broadwell were flower girls and the couple’s friends Janine Philp, Nick Hollis and Liz Hollis did readings.
Best man was Andrew Whitaker and another friend, Dave Lee, who had a song composed for the brides, played piano before the ceremony.
Emma and Jenny will take a new surname, McCarthy-Jenkins, taken from their mothers’ maiden names.
There’s more on the couple’s extra special day in Friday’s Express.
