Two bundles of joy will forever have a special birthday after being born on Christmas Day in Burnley.
Care assistant Zaitoon Kauser (26) gave birth to a baby boy at 11-30am in the Burnley Birth Centre after a 12-hour labour.
Delighted parents Zaitoon and husband Shehzad Hussain (27) have not thought of a name yet for their boy who weighed 7lb. 2oz.
Zaitoon said: “He arrived a few days early. It’s nice that he was born on Christmas Day. Everyone at the hospital was lovely. We’re over the moon.” Zaitoon is now back home in St Cuthbert’s Street with the baby and his older brother Safyan (3).
The second Burnley Christmas Day baby was Nathaniel Adrian Rosales Smith. Mum Eve Lauren Smith (36) gave birth to 8lb. 13oz. Nathaniel at 2-15pm. Dad Adrian Smith said: “We are so delighted. He is wonderful.” The family, including Nathaniel’s big brothers Oliver (5) and Joseph (4), live in Sussex Street, Burnley.
In total 11 East Lancashire babies were born at Burnley General on Christmas Day.
