A client at solicitors Donald Race and Newton got a shock when Caroline Arron turned up to see her in a pink wig - but it was all in a good cause to raise money in the fight against breast cancer.

Caroline has been at Donald Race and Newton for five years and got the all-clear from breast cancer three years ago.

Her colleague Jayne York lost a friend to cancer last year and decided to have a pink day at the solicitors to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign.

“It was good fun,” said Caroline. “The men were threatened with financial penalties if they didn’t do it but everyone got into the spirit of it. Everyone wearing pink made a donation and we also sold ribbons for lapels and had a cake sale and raised around £300.
