A MUSICAL coffee morning celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Burnley Express will raise cash for Pendleside Hospice.
We’re swopping keyboards and cameras for baking tins to make mountains of home-made cakes, and inviting readers to join us on Saturday, March 24th at our Bull Street office.
The kettles will be on the boil from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and there will even be songs and dance along the way.
The music comes in the form of The Flat Cap Pack – an affectionate tribute to Frank, Sammy, Dean, pies and whippets – the Rat Pack with a Burnley twist.
Admission is £1 (50p for children), and that includes tea/coffee/juice and home-made cake.
There will also be a raffle, tombola and a book stall.
