The sun shone on Padiham when scores of families turned out to support their community at the annual duck race.
Stalls selling everything from homemade food to arts and crafts were set up inside and outside Padiham Town Hall on Sunday.
Coun. Jean Cunningham described the occasion as “a fantastic day”.
She said: “Hundreds of people turned out to support us. The weather was nice and it was just a great day for everyone.
“We had a funfair as well as 23 stalls in the town hall ballroom. It was wonderful.”
Hundreds of ducks were released into the River Calder and the winning duck for £75 was 191.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Padiham, Howard and Patricia Hudson, also attended and all the money raised will go towards the Mayor’s charity fund to be spent on good causes in Padiham.
