Former England flanker Neil Back will run an exclusive training session at Burnley Rugby Club next week.

The 2003 World Cup winner will host the session on Wednesday at 6-30pm alongside Burnley U13 coach Chris Pickles, who is one of just four coaches across the country to be honoured by the QBE Insurance My Coach programme.

The programme rewards coaches who inspired and supported success in players in grassroots rugby.

Pickles, who plays for the club’s first team, coaches the U13s and works as a groundsman at the club, was nominated for the My Coach award by the club’s first XV coach Simon Finnan.

Finnan recognised the 19-year-old’s dedication to the club and community rugby in the area through his involvement in coaching and refereeing at the club and local schools.

My Coach is a part of the QBE Coaching Club, a joint initiative between QBE Insurance and the RFU that has recruited and trained 2,015 new Level 2 rugby coaches.

Burnley RUFC, who have four senior teams and a host of junior teams, play their home games at Holden Road, Reedley.
