Fire crews spent the night damping down a huge inferno at a Padiham recycling centre.
Around 80 firefighters tackled the blaze at its height after flames ripped through the Park Road plastics processing centre yesterday afternoon.
But the 100ft flames which tore through tons of plastic bales were finally brought under control at around 8pm.
But fire crews remained at the scene throughout the night to ensure the site was safe.
A joint investigation with Lancashire Police has now begun to find out the cause of the fire.
