Enquiries ongoing after multi-storey car park fall

Enquiries remain ongoing this morning to establish the identity of a man who fell to his death from a Burnley multi-storey car park.

Poice were called to the Millennium car park, in the town centre, at 12-40pm yesterday.

They cordoned off the entrance to the busy car park behind the Next store and adjacent to the Pioneer car park.

Paramedics pronounced the man, who fell from an upper storey of the car park, dead at the scene.

Since the tragedy, Facebook users have expressed their shock and have been paying their respects on Facebook.

One said: “OMG! So truly sorry 4 this man n his family! My condolences 2 this family 4 ur loss [sic].”

And another added: “Poor man. Thinking of his family at this sad time xx.”
