Towneley Park cross country event is big success

Held over two days, competitors from schools across Burnley and Padiham entered the challenge to complete two laps at the park.

There were separate races for boys and girls and the runners were cheered on by their team mates, parents and friends who gathered to watch the races.

The Partnership organises a variety of sporting events and activities to keep children fit and active and the cross country challenge aims to get youngsters enthusiastic about taking part in the park run events held at Towneley every weekend.
