Shuttleworth College in Padiham have shown their generous side this Christmas, with students donating tins, chocolates, pasta and more for the Food Bank as well as Burnley’s elderly.
A collection of magnanimous Year Eight students, including Keiron Gorton, Emily Cooper, Katie Ayres, and Leon Rushton were amongst the highest contributors to the charitable push this Christmas.
“I’ve brought in 15 items over two days; it’s important to help those who may need it over Christmas,” said Keiron.
“We have a store room full to the top of food items,” their teacher, Annita Boucher, added.
“We have had collections before - just for Year Sevens - but this year we got the whole school to bring food in and we have been overwhelmed,” she continued.
