A BURNLEY nursery has been given the Royal seal of approval with children receiving a letter from Prince Charles.

Three and four-year-olds at Magical Tree Nursery, in Healey Wood Road, did a project around the topic of Poppy Day. Staff then took a photograph of them with the display of artwork and sent it to Clarence House.

A few weeks later they were surprised and delighted to receive a thank you letter, along with a photograph of the Prince and the Duchess of Cornwall and an activity pack.

Deputy manager Miss Laura Southwell said: “We hoped to get something back but we didn’t expect it.

“It was a nice surprise and the reply was really quick. The children were happy to get a response from the royal family.”
