For sports coordinator Mr Simon Grime will be going in the stocks at Burnley’s Holy Trinity Primary School as part of the annual fund raising for Children in Need.

This year the school is staging the event on Monday (November 14th) four days ahead of the official day. And this is because they are hoping to welcome a VIP into school on Monday.

And hopes are high that by the time Graham arrives they will have raised £450 to present to him. The highlight of the fund raising has been throwing wet sponges at Mr Grime in the stock and a non uniform day cake sale themed on the TV reality show The Apprentice by year five pupils.

The children divided themselves into eight teams of four and made buns during the week which the rest of the school were invited to buy.

The teams chose a price to charge for the buns between 20p and 50p and the winner was based on the amount of sales and profit. The victorious winners were team Surprise Parcel whose members were Milly Maccabe, Demi–Leigh Campbell, Mackenzie Power and Casey Hudson.
