Clarets defender Keiron Trippier visited Blessed Trinity to talk to the English Cup winning boys about life as a professional footballer.

The school organised a question and answer session with the 22-year-old where the boys asked questions about his lifestyle, diet, and training.

They then some personal questions such as the best players he has ever played with or against (Ibrahimovic and Messi), best stadium he has played in, his best experience and his ambitions after football (he wants to coach, not manage).

A school spokesman said: “He gave the lads advice on playing football at the highest level, including not accepting no for an answer and pushing even harder in order to succeed, getting qualifications at school, something he wishes he would have done and it’s something he would go back and change if he could.

“He gave us about an hour of his time in total and then he kindly presented the trophy to the boys and also signed some signatures and had individual photos done with the boys as well.

“It was a very inspiring morning for everybody and hopefully one that the boys will never forget.”
