Driver hurt in Padiham crash

A DRIVER was taken to hospital suffering from a shoulder injury after the car he was travelling smashed into a wall and then a lamppost.

The incident happened at 12-30 a.m. on Friday in Mytton Street, Padiham. Emergency services raced to the scene and firefighters had to use cutting equipment to free the driver from the blue Ford Focus.

Police and paramedics also attended and the man was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
