A double decker bus has crashed into a tree near to a Burnley primary school.

Police were called to Holcombe Drive at 3-20pm today to reports of the accident, which took place near to St Mary's RC Primary School.

It is not known at this stage what caused the accident but police said no injuries were reported.

The road is currently closed.
