A leading Pendle animal charity is appealing for the public’s help to transform their new home into a ‘Dogs’ Den’.

Pendle Dogs In Need have issued a DIY SOS for people from across the area to makeover their new home at the Chapel Buildings in Elizabeth Street, Nelson, creating a friendly space for their rescue dogs, canine companions and their owners to enjoy and learn in.

Work on the building will be carried out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (May 6th-8th), from 9am to 5pm daily - you can just turn up on the day or contact the charity at pendledogs@gmail.com

“To say we are excited is an understatement,” said Paula Knowles, from PDiN. “However, there is a lot to be done before our grand opening on June 4th.”

Organisers of the makeover have appealed for people and businesses to come forward with paint and decorating materials, rubber matting, wood, furniture, kitchen equipment, signs and crockery, as well as their time.
