TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after police raided two addresses in Burnley.
On Tuesday, officers searched two houses in Ada Street and Steer Street and arrested two men, aged 17 and 27, on suspicion of drug-related offences. Both were later bailed pending further inquiries. A substantial amount of cash and a quantity of drugs were seized from both addresses.
The arrests come as part of a major crackdown on crime in Burnley. Operation Loroley was launched on Tuesday, March 1st and saw 38 people arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft in the Burnley area.
Det. Insp. Nick Hodgeson said: “These arrests follow the successful raids carried out over the last couple of weeks.
“We have asked the public to work with us and this activity should send a clear message that if people give information to us, we will take action. I urge anyone with information about crime to contact us.”
