Two Burnley men are due to appear in court today charged with the murder of a 60-year-old man found stabbed to death.

Paul Howarth (47), of Clifton Road, and Gary Burley (44), of Herbert Road, have been charged by detectives investigating the death of Keith Passmore.

Police were called to an address on Clifton Road just after 6-30pm on Saturday, where they found the body of Mr Passmore.

The 60-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem found he died as a result of mulitple stab wounds.

Burley was also charged with making threats to kill. Both will appear at Burnley Magistrates’ Court this morning.
