Toddler found in Burnley canal fights for life

A two-year-old Burnley toddler is fighting for his life after being found face down in the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

The boy was reported missing from Pheasantford Green at 5-30pm yesterday. He was found at Pit Top Park by a PCSO shortly afterwards who called an ambulanace and performed CPR.

The child was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Blackburn Hospital and later transferred to Manchester Children’s Hospital where he is currently in a critical condition.
