Thousands stolen from Burnley firm

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Burnley engineering firm was broken into.

Thieves made off with £5,500 when they broke into Calder Valley Services, Summitt Works, Manchester Road, between 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

They stole a silver Citreon Relay van, regsitartion number LV56 WHK, loading a tabor power washer, JCB chainsaw and generator into it before driving off.
