DETECTIVES have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Burnley.
Around 7-45 p.m. on Sunday, June 26th, a man was attacked by a group of around seven other men outside shops in Brunshaw Avenue.
The 30-year-old victim was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with cuts to his arm and leg as well as a head injury. He discharged himself from hospital the following day.
Police are now keen to speak with a man captured on CCTV.
Det. Sgt Nick Hodgeson, from Burnley CID, said: “I would appeal to anyone who recognises the man captured on CCTV to come forward. We are continuing to follow a number of lines of inquiry, but I am keen to hear from anybody who feels they could assist with this investigation.
“The disturbance took place in the street and in broad daylight so it was very visible. I would urge anybody who saw anything to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 08451 25 35 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
