Police hunt serial school burglar

Police are asking for help in tracing a man believed to be behind a spate of primary school burglaries.

Cy Holt (25), of Sandhurst Street, Burnley, is wanted in connection with the burglaries at Casterton Primary School on Friday, October 14th, and at Holy Grove Primary School and Stoneyholme Primary School on Monday, October 17th.

Several school laptops were stolen.

Holt is now being sought by police and officers are appealing for anybody with information about his whereabouts to contact them.

PC Dave Cottam, of Burnley Police, said: “We believe Holt is in the Burnley area and we would urge anybody with information about where he is, or who believes they may have seen him, to contact us as soon as possible.”

Holt is described as white, around 6ft tall, of slim build, with green eyes and brown hair.
