POLICE are hoping to trace the owner of an ornamental bust discovered in East Lancashire yesterday.
The plastic sculpture, which is black with gold beading around the neck, was found in the back of a car stopped by police in Blackburn.
Officers have appealed to anyone who recognises the bust to come forward
DS Tim Mcdermott, of Lancashire Constabulary, said: “We are keen to find the owner of this ornament as it is currently unaccounted for.
“We believe this could belong to anyone living in the Blackburn area or even further a field in Burnley, Pendle or Rossendale. It is very distinctive and could be of great sentimental value to someone. I urge anyone with information about the owner to contact police.”
Anyone with information can contact Eastern Division’s Target team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
