Police discover £14,000 cannabis farm at Burnley house

CANNABIS with an estimated street value of more than £14,000 has been seized from an address in Burnley.

Police discovered 35 plants at the address in Piccadilly Road at around 4-30 p.m. on Friday, November 18th.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Sgt Damian Hamilton said: “This was a large and sophisticated set up with a full hydroponic system including lighting and fans. The plants were all various sizes and the electricity had been bypassed.

“We are committed to tackling drugs and the misery they cause to communities and I urge anyone with information to contact police.”
