POLICE are hunting two burglars who struck at a house in Shawforth.

The offence took place at a terraced house in Market Street, which backs onto St John St Michael Primary School playing fields, last Tuesday.

It is believed two offenders have used a pair of step ladders to gain entry to an insecure rear upstairs window at around 2 p.m.

Once inside they have searched the address and stolen a number of electrical items including silver iPod Nano, aSamsung notepad, a 15in. silver Asda TV and Makita drill and grinder.

One of the offenders is described as being Asian. The second man is described as white, around 6ft tall and medium build. He had short cropped dark hair and was wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a black Location jacket and brown Timberland boots.

DI Jeremy Holland, from Pennine CID, said: “I would appeal to anybody that believes they may have witnessed this burglary or with any information about the persons responsible to contact Lancashire Police on 101.”
