Police are appealing for information after a teenager was knocked off his bike by a car in Burnley.

The 15-year-old boy was riding his bike home along Padiham Road at around 8-45pm on Wednesday, June 19th, when he was clipped by a red vehicle.

He was approaching the junction with Byron Street when the car touched the back wheel of his bike.

The vehicle involved was a small, red car and it is believed that following the collision it drove off towards the George IV pub.

The boy suffered minor cuts and bruises.

PC Kathryn Mather said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who witnessed what happened to come forward and contact the police.”
