TWO men have been charged in connection with a pub fight that left a Padiham father in a coma.
The brawl broke out at the New Black Bull, in Mill Street, Padiham, on Sunday, September 23rd, which resulted in Mr Ivan Sharples (49) receiving broken bones and head injuries.
The victim, now in an induced coma at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, suffered a fractured skull as a result of the attack which happened around 9-20pm.
Four men were arrested by officers following the disturbance.
Daniel Sharples (31) of Kings Drive, Padiham, has been charged with affray. He pleaded guilty and will be sentenced at Burnley Crown Court on November 2nd.
James Exton (27) of Anglesey Avenue, Burnley, was also charged with affray. He has been released on police bail until November 21st.
A 26-year-old man from Burnley and a 17-year-old youth from Burnley were arrested on suspicion of wounding and released on police bail until December 17th.
