Padiham attack victim out of coma

AN attack victim from Padiham, who was fighting for his life, has now come out of a coma.

Mr Carlo Robinson (48) was said to be very close to death after being attacked in Melbourne Street, Padiham, on Friday, October 21st.

He suffered a bleed on the brain and was sent to Salford Royal Hospital where he is still being treated. His condition is now described as stable.

Police were called to his home in Melbourne Street after paramedics reported a man had been assaulted the previous night.

Ryan Williamson (30), of Ingham Street, Padiham, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

A plea and case management hearing has been listed for Burnley Crown Court on January 30th.
