A motorbike was deliberately set on fire in a Burnley street today (Saturday).

The bike, believed to be stolen, was spotted by police officers in Airdrie Crescent around noon.

Acting crew manager Lee Pickup said: “We got the call from the police. They just happened to be driving around and came across the motorbike on fire.

“We turned up and dealt with it. The vehicle has been reported as stolen.”

The bike was so badly damaged it was impossible to make out the model.
