A MAN has been arrested in connection with the kidnap and murder of a property developer whose body has never been found.
Michael Dunphy (38), of no fixed address, was arrested in Manchester on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap and murder as a result of an international arrest warrant.
He is due to appear before Burnley Magistrates’ Court this morning.
His arrest relates to the kidnap and murder of Paul Brady in Bacup in 2009. Last month, Paul Devalda (35), of Padiham Road in Burnley, was found guilty of conspiracy to kidnap and murdering Mr Brady. He was jailed for life, with a minimum term of 21 years, at Liverpool Crown Court.
