A 24-year-old Padiham man has been bailed by police following the rape of a woman in the early hours of Monday morning.
The victim, who is in her 20s, was attacked close to a footbridge over Green Brook in Padiham, and contacted police after managing to make her way home.
The woman had been out for a night in Padiham and had made her way along Stocksbridge Road, and Palmerston Street before cutting through to the bridge.
