Staff at a Padiham estate agency have slammed “lowlife scum” who broke into their office and stole £2,000 worth of goods just two months after it opened.
Employees at Frost & Co, in Burnley Road, returned after the bank holiday weekend to find their office trashed and cash and electrical equipment missing.
Bosses are now offering a £250 reward for any information leading to the conviction of the culprits who struck around 4-45am on Monday.
Residential sales manager Mr Gary Trappe said the thieves broke in through a window at the back of the building before escaping with two laptop computers, a television, iPhone, camera and petty cash.
The firm opened its Padiham branch in June after investing £150,000.
Mr Trappe said: “The people who did this are scum, low lifes. We’ve opened in Padiham, invested £150,000 so far in the business and the building, we’ve created new jobs in the town centre.
“We are trying to help revive Padiham into a thriving town, only to be hit within two months of opening but we won’t let that stop us.”
Police have been informed and are studying CCTV images in a bid to trace the culprits while Mr Trappe said the company has upgraded its security systems.
“The break-in has been disruptive, there was stuff everywhere. We’ve gone out and replaced the equipment to make sure all our clients are not compromised in any way,” he added.
Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
