A Burnley man has been arrested after a worker fell to his death from a roof in Ramsbottom in December.
The 32-year-old Burnley man is one of four men arrested over the death of Benjamin Edge (25) who died from “catastrophic” head injuries following the incident on December 10th.
He had been helping to dismantle a structure when the incident occurred and a joint police and health and safety investigation continues into the circumstances.
Two men, aged 23 and 30 from Bury, have been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
The Burnley man and a man aged 35 from Ramsbottom have also been arrested on conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
Det Sgt Lawrence Dixon said: “We are continuing to look into the circumstances that led up to Ben’s death, so we can provide his family with the answers of exactly what happened on that day in December.”
