We are still open for business.

That is the message from a Burnley dry cleaning firm two years after fire ripped through a row of shops. Mr and Mrs Eric and Pam Marshall, who own New Way Dry Cleaners and Temple Street Launderette, say their insurance claim is still being processed and they are no nearer to solving the situation.

Mrs Marshall said the arson attack, on March 21st 2012, had continued to negatively impact on trade even though their businesses were not badly damaged.

There had been fears the row could be demolished but Mrs Marshall said they have not been kept informed about what is happening.

“I thought it would be sorted by now. This has definitely harmed us.

“Luckily our regular customers have stuck by us and we’d like to thank them for that.”
