Burnley police in £13,000 cannabis farm find

CANNABIS with an estimated street value of more than £13,000 has been discovered at a house in Burnley.

Officers found a crop of 33 plants at the address on Bank Parade close to the town centre on Saturday.

A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Community Beat Manager PC Paul Marsden said: “We were acting on information from the public and once again, have prevented a large amount of cannabis from reaching the streets of Burnley.

“I urge anyone with information or concerns about cannabis to contact the police.”
