POLICE in Burnley are renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward after a man was punched outside a Burnley nightclub.

The incident happened around 12-30 a.m. on December 18th outside Posh Nightclub, in Ormerod Street, when a man approached a queue of people and punched the 32-year-old victim to the face in an unprovoked assault before running away.

The man sustained a fractured jaw which required an operation and police are continuing to investigate the attack.

Det. Sgt Nick Hodgeson, from Burnley CID, said: “This man sustained serious injuries and I would appeal to anybody that witnessed this incident or with any information about the identity of the man pictured in the CCTV to come forward and contact Burnley CID.”
