A man arrested yesterday in the hunt for killer of Burnley man Stephen Whitehead has been released without charge

Police confirmed that the 34-year-old man from Burnley who was arrested on suspicion of murder was released yesterday evening.

A murder hunt is underway after the body of Stephen, who was a casual employee at Pendle Skips n Balderstone Lane, was found on Monday morning in the kitchen area of the business where it is believed he had been sleeping rough after falling on hard times.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and are still appealing for anyone with any information to contact police on 101 quoting log 184 of 27th July or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
