Burnley man not guilty of raping girl on night out

A BURNLEY man has been cleared of twice raping a woman after she had been on a girls’ night out in Burnley.

The town’s crown court had heard how Daniel Thomas (22) was alleged to have beaten the woman before getting her to commit a sex act on him and having intercourse with her.

Thomas, of Walshaw Street, was found not guilty of two charges of rape.
